Amy was the last person Newt expected to see in the shops around the village. He really had no intentions of speaking to her and then he remembered Micaela. Honest, he swore to Billy he'd stay out of it.
He had to leave it alone. But he didn't want to. He couldn't.
"Here to see, Alfie, are you?" Newt sneaked up behind Amy who was looking through gossip magazines.
"Maybe," she was being her snide self. She wasn't even going to give a look in Liam's direction who was in his stroller.
"I don't know why you bother, I saw Alfie with someone yesterday. They might have been snogging." Newt looked at her so serious.
"Snogging?" She squinted then as if that didn't mean a thing.
"Afraid so." Newt shrugged.
"Who was it?"
"Dunno." Newt did his best to act indifferent. "Blond, I believe."
That made Amy swell with disgust. She was peeved then.
"Maybe its for the best," Newt nodded. "Doubt you had time for him as it was, you know. You have such a busy schedule and all."
She was in a huff then.
"I'd say it was good seeing you, but you know, I understand, I'm really not your favorite person and all. Don't know when I'll see you again, but whatever." He pushed Liam away then in the stroller. He held in a laugh. Maybe it was just as well if his brother never saw her again. Perhaps, he understood what Billy was about when it came to Amy. Really, it was better to have her out of the picture. Or at least he had to keep telling himself so.
