Newt couldn't quite believe it. Leia hadn't picked her Halloween costume yet.
"Why not?" He thought with Amy and even Alfie around now, the child would have someone go out with to find a Halloween outfit.
"Mummie, is always with Liam." She frowned.
"Well, he has to be looked after, do you want your Daddy to take you for a look see?"
She shrugged as if no one cared about her anymore.
"Don't give me that look, get your coat, we'll find something amazing, like a dandy pirate." He gave her a sly grin.
"No, you be the dandy pirate." She laughed then and poked him in the stomach.
Newt just shook his head. He called to Amy upstairs. "Leia and I are going out!"
"What's that?" She went down a few of the stairs to give them both a look. "Bring me back a fashion magazine, please, or People."
"We have no time for you, we have mission." Newt winced. "Halloween costume?"
"Oh." She went back upstairs with the baby.
Leia took his hand and they were off.
"First, we'll see if your Dad can take a little break to help us. I doubt he's that busy at the pub yet." So they strolled over to the Black Cat. Naturally, the last block he was carrying her.
They found Billy at the empty bar.
"We are in dire need of a juice and a lager for me." Newt said right away putting Leia on the barstool next to him. "Care to join us on our persuit for the most beautiful Halloween costume in the world?"
"What about last years?" He gave Leia a look who just pouted back.
"That was last years fashion." Newt smirked. "We needs wings, this year. Right Leia?" She nodded.
"White or Black?" Billy looked to Newt then Leia.
"Black of course." Newt winced.
"White, I'm a good fairy." Leia promised.
"Then what am I?" Newt winced.
"An old crow, of course."
"Of course." Newt nodded. "I am getting the black wings." Newt looked at Billy.
"Then get me a pair too." He had a good laugh then. "Look, you two get the job done, then come back here and put on show."
"Come on then, Newt." Leia had no time for her juice and Newt had barely got started on his lager.
He just sighed. "But I wanted you to come," he said while she dragged him along. Billy, shrugged and shook his head.
"Can't wait to see those black wings." Billy winked then.
